CPA Exam Requirements
Education Requirements
Credit Requirements: 120 semester hours (180 quarter hours)
Minimum Degree: Baccalaureate degree
Additional Requirements: 21 semester hours of accounting, including coverage of financial accounting, auditing, taxation, and management/cost accounting
9 semester hours of business, including coverage of business law, finance, and information systems
Residency Requirements
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is not required
Minimum Age: 18
Additional Requirements: It is not necessary to be a resident, employee, or keep office(s) in the state

Social Security Requirement: Yes
Educational Requirement: 150 Semester hours (including Bachelor’s Degree)

Experience Requirements: Must have 1 year of work experience verified by a licensed CPA and complete experience affidavit. May be fulfilled before, during, or after passing the CPA Exam.
