Why did you take Roger CPA Review?

I was captivated by Roger’s passion and desire to help students pass the CPA Exam. If I’m going to spend the next 400-500 hours of my life studying for this exam, Roger’s passion and enthusiasm will help carry me through. Roger teaches every lecture and I feel the consistency truly helps. Also, Roger provides you with all the information you truly need to know to pass each exam.

How has passing the exam affected your personal and professional life?

I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve had some difficulty passing the exams, which I would contribute mostly to letting my personal life and lack of self-discipline get in the way. However, I’ve also struggled with confidence and I started to doubt Roger’s famous saying, “The CPA Exam is not an IQ test. If you study, you will pass.” But after finally buckling down and nailing the videos, re-reading the chapters and doing ALL the assigned homework 2-3 times through, I finally passed my first exam and I’ve got confidence now that I will succeed in future attempts on the BEC, FAR, and REG exams.

What piece of advice do you have for other CPA Exam candidates?

There are no shortcuts to passing the CPA exam. You must be willing to make daily sacrifices and study until you feel like “CCHIT” (my favorite Roger CPA mnemonic). Also, practice multiple-choice questions in both the Wiley textbook and software until you are ready to poke your eyes out. I’m not kidding, practice truly does make a perfect 75!
