Why did you take Roger CPA Review?

It was affordable, contained targeted learning, and meant for working professionals. Simply put – The Roger Method called out to me.

How did you hear about our review course?

When I was in a Big Four, I had not heard of Roger CPA Review. I accidentally stumbled upon it when I was reading a review of another CPA Review company. It talked about how engaging the lectures were. I clicked on a few samples and simply connected with Roger.

What was your favorite aspect of the course?

My favorite part was hands down the lectures. Roger is vivacious and his fervor is contagious. He’s also witty and has an impeccable sense of humor.

How has passing the exam affected your personal and professional life?

When I started the CPA Exam process, I had been recently promoted to a manager position at Infor. My director and SVP both encouraged me to complete my CPA. Having passed the exam on the first try, I have been celebrated at work and within hours was used as a model to encourage others. Personally, I have benefitted from being respected by peers, especially in other fields who also know about the distinction of being a CPA and the arduous process one goes through.

What piece of advice do you have for other CPA Exam candidates?

I chose the Elite package and ended up loving all the wonderful ways I could study. The most helpful items (in order of my preference) were the lectures, Smartpath (IPQ), e-book, the CRAM, and the flashcards. I did not use the print book as much.

Anything else you would like to share?

Roger says that it’s not a test of discipline. Indeed, I invested heavily in staying back after work, studying during the weekend, and having close to a zero social life; but it was all worth it. With SmartPath and Roger’s lectures, I was able to power through, remain positive and motivated, and knock out each part steadily, consistently.
