CPA Exam Blogger Daniela: And Then There Were 2!

Daniela resides in the great state of Pennsylvania. She begins her CPA Exam journey with the perspective of a Masters in Accountancy. Daniela has passed FAR and AUD so far with Roger CPA Review, and is gearing up for her third exam, REG. Follow her journey with us!

and then there were 2!  Im halfway done with my CPA exam adventure and next on my list is Regulation.  I just got my books and software in the mail and I already got a few hours of study time in this weekend.  I was most afraid of REG when I first started studying for the CPA exam.  Now that I have worked my first tax season, I am much more confident about the REG section.

Roger has split the REG study course into six sections and the first section is individual taxation.  So far, all of the videos that I have watched have been mostly review for me.  Although I prepared returns for trusts, partnerships and corporations, as well as individual returns, I feel that I am strongest in individual taxation.  My personal and work experience along with my previous education has proven very valuable for the REG exam.  Hopefully it will continue to help in the study sections to come.

I am also happy to report that I have my first job interview this week.  I am nervous about the interview process so I am reading a book about popular interview questions and answers.

Hopefully I will be prepared for any questions that the interviewer throws at me.  My interview preparation has also allowed me to think about things that I did well at my previous job and things that I need improvement in.  I have come to realize that my previous job was a great learning experience and I look forward to using what I learned in my next job.  I know that I will not make the same mistakes again.
