Philip is a resident of the great state of New York, but has inspired and motivated fellow Roger students through online forums and social media platforms across the globe. Philip has already passed FAR.
So here it is. I am just hours away from testing for AUD, and I am in a whole different place than I was last time. I remember the frantic messages to Roger, the negative thought spiral that erupted, and the loss of confidence before the exam. Today, well lets say, I’m rather relaxed (without the help of meds, I might add).
In this week’s blog I want to share what I did today to relax and prep, because I still did some prep work. I don’t know if I’m more relaxed simply because the pressure is off from having to pass all four on my first try, but I am coasting into the exam, not crashing. Today, I pulled out my notes I took from Rogers vids and rewrote them. That’s right, all I did was review my golden nuggets extrapolated from the vids. How simple! The truth is that I have done over 1000 MCQs and all of the sims, so today was a very light study day. I made sure that I did study. I took frequent breaks, drank lots of coffee and played with my three year old.
But getting to this point required dedication to stick to my study plan (which was really written for me by Roger). I stuck to what I knew I had to do; however, this would not have been possible without my critical support network made up of my family (my precious wife Jewel not to be confused with the celebrity singer who is not my celeb crush don’t worry Ke$ha), friends, other candidates and yes my own personal cheer leading team Roger CPA Review Staff! The point is that getting to a place of feeling relaxed before the exam requires hard work, and also a network of people who support you.
Just remember to study hard, let Roger do his job and teach you the material, then do your job and answer every question on the exam. If you study, you WILL pass.
