First of all, find a nice quiet space, because its important to have quality over quantity.  I remember back in the day when I was studying for my accounting classes, Id go to the library and would lock myself in one of those rooms/cubbies and study, study, study. I would put some headphones in or earplugs to keep that outside noise away. Another thing thats important is to study in groups. Because a lot of time it motivates you because you may not feel like studying, but your friend does! So study in a group, but make sure youre staying on topic. Also begin studying every day the same time. Let’s say you study lets say 7pm at night. The first time itll take you 20 minutes to get settled. Then 15, 10, and pretty soon it takes 2-3 minutes to get your brain rollin and rockin so that way youre staying on target. Create Mnemonics! They are great memory aids for remembering a lot of information in a short period of time. You can also check out our tutoring center for videos on hot accounting topics. You can see how I walk you through various difficult topics. Also, dont forget, try to get lots of rest the night before your exam. Exercise and nourishment are very important! I know sometimes those are tough, especially as a college student, but make sure youre not going to a party the night before the exam! Those are some of my tips on how to study smarter.
