Our Student of the Month for December 2014 goes to Mai Xiong! Mai was a Roger CPA Review student who passed all four parts of the CPA Exam. Why did you take Roger CPA Review?
My friend recommended it to me…and it was MUCH more cost effective compared to the other review courses.
How did you hear about our review course?
I called up an old colleague one day and learned that he had just received his CPA license in the mail. We hadn’t spoken since we graduated and I was still in the debating phase, but then I thought heck if he can do it then I can too! He told me about Roger CPA Review and I went for it.
What was your favorite aspect of the course?
I enjoyed all the side stories and jokes from Roger. This kept me awake throughout the lectures. It is good to know not all accountants are just boring antisocial people. 🙂
How has passing the exam affected your personal and professional life?
Passing the exam is definitely a big accomplishment in my book. I am also extremely fortune to have a supportive boss…she bought me some French macaroons and treated me out to a nice lunch! There is more to come in terms of my professional life.
What piece of advice do you have for other CPA Exam candidates?
Repetition is key! I know because literally my eyeballs were hurting from doing problems online for two days straight!
