Education Requirements
Credit Requirements: 150 semester units (225 quarter units)
Minimum Degree: Baccalaureate with an accounting concentration. May sit with lesser or no degree if experience requirements are satisfied
Additional Requirements:

Additional Requirements:
Pathway 1: Graduate degree with concentration in accounting
Pathway 2: Graduate Degree from accredited business school WITH at least 24 semester hours of undergraduate accounting including financial accounting, auditing, taxation, and management accounting
Pathway 3: Bachelor’s Degree from accredited business school WITH at least 24 semester hours of undergraduate accounting, including financial accounting, auditing, taxation, and management accounting AND at least 24 semester hours of business courses or additional accounting courses
Pathway 4: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution WITH at least 24 semester hours in upper-division accounting, including financial accounting, auditing, taxation, and management accounting/p>

Additional Requirements: Candidate does not have to be a resident, employee, or keep office(s) in the state
State License Requirements
Social Security Requirement: Yes
Educational Requirement: 150 Semester hours (including Bachelor’s Degree)
Participates in International Exam Program: Yes
Experience Requirements: 1 year (2,000 hours) experience in public practice, government, industry, or academia; verified by a CPA who holds a valid license at date of verification
Ethics Exam: Must pass AICPA Professional Ethics Exam
