CPA Exam Requirements
Education Requirements
Credit Requirements: 150 semester units (225 quarter units)
Minimum Degree: None
Additional Requirements: Students can now sit for the CPA Exam after completing 120 semester hours of general college education to include 24 semester hours in accounting and 24 semester hours in general business.
Residency Requirements
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is not required
Minimum Age: 21
Additional Requirements: Candidate must be a resident, employee, or keep office(s) in the state
State License Requirements
Social Security Requirement: Yes
Educational Requirement: 150 Semester hours including Bachelor’s Degree
Participates in International Exam Program: Yes
Experience Requirements: 1 year accounting experience in industry, government, academia or public practice. To sign reports or supervise attest services, the CPA will need 1 additional year of experience in attest work
Ethics Exam: Complete written exam in professional ethics acceptable to the Missouri Board
