Education Requirements
Credit Requirements: Recommended 120 credit hours
Minimum Degree: None
Additional Requirements:
At least 24 semester hours (36 quarter hours) of accounting courses above the introductory level, to include one course in each of the following: Financial accounting; Auditing; Taxation; Management accounting; AND At least 24 semester hours (36 quarter hours) in non-accounting, general business courses. Examples of business courses include information systems, business law, finance, economics, marketing, ethics, organizational behavior, quantitative applications in business and communication skills.

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is not required
Minimum Age: None
Additional Requirements: It is not necessary to be a resident, employee, or keep office(s) in the state

Social Security Requirement: No
Educational Requirement: 150 semester units (225 quarter units) required for certification, including Bachelor’s Degree
Participates in International Exam Program: Yes
Experience Requirements: 1 year of experience (2000 hours) verified by a licensed CPA
