Education Requirements

Credit Requirements: 150 semester units (225 quarter units) required for licensure, but not needed to sit for the exam

Minimum Degree: Baccalaureate with 150 semester units or Graduate degree with 150 semester units or special 120 hour rule

Additional Requirements: Graduate Degree with concentration in accounting. Graduate Degree accredited in business-24 semester or equivalent quarter hours in undergraduate accounting or 15 semester hours or equivalent quarter hours in graduate accounting or a combination thereof. B.A. Degree or higher degree with 24 semester or equivalent quarter hours in undergraduate or graduate level accounting. Transfer of grades – the applicant must meet all current requirements in Rhode Island at the time the application is made

Additional Requirements: Candidate must be a Rhode Island resident, employee, or keep office(s) in the state
