Why did you take Roger CPA Review?
University of Oregon’s Master of Accounting degree program (MAcc) awarded me the Roger CPA Review Scholarship.
How did you hear about our review course?
I heard Roger CPA Review during a “Meet the Firms” event in my university.
What was your favorite aspect of the course?
My favorite aspect of the course was the Roger CPA Review learning methodology, which includes the Learn, Practice and Support components. Namely, through this integrated methodology, I was able to learn difficult CPA Exam concepts from Roger’s motivating lectures, practice what I learned in the lectures with the Interactive Practice Questions System, and receive support from the Homework Help Center. Roger CPA Review provided me all I needed to pass the CPA Exam.
How has passing the exam affected your personal and professional life?
The CPA credential is a symbol of trust and professionalism in the world of business. Professionally, passing the CPA exam helps me to earn more respect from my clients and enables me to serve them better with knowledge I learned through CPA Exam study. Passing the exam also affects me personally. As a new immigrant from China, I had to spend more time studying for the CPA Exam than my American peers due to my limited English. With a strong belief in tenacity, I spent almost all my free time studying, before work, after work and on weekends, and I consequently passed all four CPA Exam parts on the first try with REG (91), FAR (91), BEC (93), and AUD (99). Passing the CPA Exam has proven my commitment to my profession and reinforced my belief in perseverance. Nothing is impossible if we try hard and long enough.
What piece of advice do you have for other CPA Exam candidates?
For anybody who is from a disadvantaged background, having a dream of passing the CPA Exam may seem ludicrous.Remember, it is attainable with courage and determination. After all, as Roger says, “If you study, you will pass!”
Anything else you would like to share?
I would like to thank everyone at Pauly Rogers and Co, P.C. for being supportive while I studied for the CPA Exam and for creating a inspirational and wonderful work environment. I would also like to thank Dr. Asta for her years of mentoring and guidance, which have been instrumental in achieving my American Dream of becoming a CPA. Last but not least, I would like to thank members of the Roger CPA Review for creating such a wonderful review courses!
Favorite quote?
“One moment, one chance, always.” Regardless of what results we receive after taking the CPA Exam, there are always more opportunities and hope in the future. It is the courage to continue that counts.
