Contributed Capital

Contributed capital is the amount of assets investors have invested in the business.

Contributed capital is a heading or category for all the stock accounts in a corporation. It includes accounts such as common stock and preferred stock. Total contributed capital represents the equity the company was given by investors. It does not include the equity increases from business profits retained in the business.
