Cycle Counting

Counting only a portion of your inventory at a time.

For instance, a company may divide its warehouse into 12 sections and count one section each month. A company may use a sampling technique whereby it counts only part of each type of inventory and interpolates the results to that whole type of inventory. This type of inventory count saves time and often can be done without hiring additional help.
