Holiday
A holiday is a day that employees do not have to work. It is usually a National Holiday proclaimed by Congress as a day of rest and or celebration.
Even though Christmas may come out on a workday, most employees are allowed to stay home. It is a holiday. Other holidays include the 4th of July, Labor Day, and Memorial Day. Holidays do not necessarily have to be paid holidays.
