What kind of degree do I need to become an accountant?

In order to become an accountant, you can complete a program of study in accounting at a college/university and obtain a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting. However, it is possible to become an accountant without obtaining an accounting degree. You can do this by obtaining a job in accounting, although, it is likely to be an entry level position.
