CPA Exam Software Revisions Coming July 1

CPA-Software-Revisions-Coming-July-2019

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) just announced that they will be making updates to the CPA Exam’s software introductory screens.
Effective July 1st, 2019, the updates will impact both the live Exam as well as the sample tests. The screen updates are as follows:

  • The Policy Statement/Confidentiality and Section Information screens will be consolidated into one screen. They are presently two separate screens. The amount of time a candidate has to review the information (5 minutes) will remain the same.
  • The Exam timer on the Exam Welcome/Launch Code screen and the Policy Statement/Confidentiality/Section Information screen will be displayed more prominently for candidates. The Exam timer will remain the same within the body of the Exam and on the post-Exam Survey screen.

It is important to note that no changes will be made to screens within the body of the Exam or to the post-Exam Survey screen.

Although these updates will not go live on the Exam until July 1st, the AICPA will implement them onto their sample test on their website beginning June 15, 2019.
