Along with the the rest of the world, Roger CPA Review has been closely following the devastation that Hurricane Sandy has inflicted on the East Coast. We are concerned for all those affected by this superstorm, and hope that everyone stays safe and warm throughout the recovery process. On occasion, severe weather has dampened the CPA Exam testing process and caused necessary rescheduling of exams. Hurricane Sandy is one of those occasions.
The following information is brought to you by the AICPA Blog: “Due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy there will be a short delay in the release of the Uniform CPA Examination scores. Scores from test results that were received day 1 20 by the AICPA were scheduled to be released on Nov. 5. The release of these scores will be delayed approximately one week or more. As soon a new target date is determined the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy and the AICPA will release an updated score release schedule. …There was no damage to the offices, but the NJ office which includes AICPA Examinations is still without power and closed. It is currently unsafe for many of our employees to leave their homes and shelters.” Additionally, Prometric has provided a list of all test centers that are currently non-operational and the dates that they will remained closed. If you see your Prometric test center listed as non-operational on your exam date, you should be contacted via email by Prometric within 24 hours of the test center’s closure.
