Education Requirements

Credit Requirements: 150 semester units (225 quarter units) with Baccalaureate

Minimum Degree: Baccalaureate degree

Additional Requirements: 24 semester hours or equivalent quarter hours in undergraduate accounting or 15 semester hours or equivalent quarter hours in graduate level accounting or a equivalent combination of both.
24 semester hours of equivalent quarter hours in business, including up to 6 hours of business and tax law and up to 6 hours of computer science

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is not required

Minimum Age: None

Additional Requirements: It is not necessary to be a resident, employee, or keep office(s) in the state

State License Requirements

Social Security Requirement: Yes

Educational Requirement: 150 hours including 33 hours in Accounting and 27 hours in Business (including requirements for exam)

Participates in International Exam Program: Yes

Experience Requirements:2 years experience in government, industry, academia or public practice verified by an active CPA and notarized
