Sometimes I Feel Like I’m Climbing a Mountain

Our guest blogger Kerry drops in to let us know how her studies for FAR are going this month.

I’m preparing to sit for the FAR part of the CPA Exam and I feel like I’m getting my second wind. Maybe it’s just the psychological trick of opening up my book and being able to SEE that I’ve completed over half of the material. I’m on the downward slope of this Mt. Everest (also known as the CPA Exam) and it feels good to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I’m still on track with my study plan and I’m really seeing the payoff. My plan consists of watching Rogers lectures, reading them afterwards and then immediately working the questions. I’m getting more proficient in my studies which allows me more time to practice previous topics.

My REAL friend, however, is the MC app. I use it on the in between days when I’m letting new material “marinate” in my head.  I know from past experience that by studying CPA Exam concepts using many different formats, I end up feeling much more confident and knowledgeable about the study material on test day.

I’m getting close to being done with the CPA Exam, so I have no time to get distracted or off my study course. Staying on top my studies is key.  I feel both motivated and nervous, but always focused as I continue to climb this mountain slowly, but surely.
