Finally, the news that international CPA exam hopefuls have been waiting for is here! Released yesterday by the AICPA, the Uniform CPA Examination will be offered internationally this August in the following countries: Kuwait, Lebanon, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates and Japan.
Testing in these international locations will be open to long-standing residents of the listed countries, along with citizens and long-term residents of Egypt, Oman, Qatar, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. If chosen, U.S. Citizens living abroad may also sit for the exam in any location.
Craig Mills, AICPA Vice President for examinations, stated that the AICPA believes “the international administrations will provide additional opportunities for individuals who want to become U.S. CPAs and that they are looking forward to expanding the program to other countries where there is interest.
