Introducing: Guest Blogger Daniela!

Daniela resides in the great state of Pennsylvania. She begins her CPA Exam journey with the perspective of a Masters in Accountancy and a new job as a Tax Staff Accountant with a top 100 accounting firm. She’s beginning with FAR and we know she’ll go far!

Hey guys!  My name is Daniela and I finally have a big girl job.  It has been a long journey to get where I am today and now I have another major mountain ahead of me the CPA Exam

My journey so far:  After going to school off and on for more years than I would like to admit, I graduated with my Bachelors degree in 2010.  I was on top of the world and then reality hit nobody wanted to hire me.  In one interview, I was told that if I had graduated two years earlier (which I easily could have) that I would have no problem finding a job.  I was also at a disadvantage because I had not done an internship.  After months of looking, I settled on a bank teller position and decided that I needed to go back to school.

I enrolled in an Online MAcc program and in one year I was walking at graduation.  Not only did I have a Masters degree, I also had the magical 150+ credit hour requirement.  With these new weapons in hand, I finally found the job I have now as a Tax Staff Accountant at a top 100 accounting firm.

The new challenge:  I have talked the talk (I have told my employer that I would pass all 4 sections of the CPA Exam within a year) and now I must walk the walk!  Luckily, the accounting firm that I work for will pay for a CPA review course and the exam itself, so I can choose whatever program I want.  I have done a lot of research on different review courses because it is a huge decision and there are so many choices.  When I went to school online, I experienced many different teaching types and I know which types I learn best from.  With this in mind, I have decided to enroll in the Roger CPA Review Online Course.

I look forward to starting the Roger CPA Review and sharing my progress with you.  I will be starting with the dreaded FAR section of the exam.  I am confident that the Roger CPA Review Online Course and community will give me the tools that I need to meet my goal passing the CPA exam by this time next year!
